Dear Friends and Family,
We hope this holiday season finds you and your family in good health and with much happiness in your lives.
Our year has been as NORMAL as it gets...which was and is a very GOOD thing... Matt completed his junior year and played baseball. Nicole worked coordinating the Nike tennis camps, pursued her athletic endeavors and enjoyed San Francisco. Bill and I worked and tried to exercise as much as possible. If anything, 2005 was a personal best year athletically for each of us. Matt was lucky to have a great baseball season. Thirteen of the players were juniors and had played together for two years. Every player seemed to get a game where their play(s) or hit(s) made the game. Matt's best games came in a triple header against Puget Sound (which just happened to be on my birthday). He went 7 for 10 with two doubles and one home run. What better way could any mother spend a birthday??? We did not realize how good Matt's season was until we saw his stats at the end of the season. He handled the ball 254 times, had 4 errors, batted .321, had 7 Home Runs and 7 Doubles. He was lucky to be selected as All Conference First Baseman by the Northwest Conference Coaches. We are excited but sad to begin his last season in baseball. Hopefully hewillbe graduating in Physics in this May.
Nicole trained with Nick's sister and ran the Las Vegas Marathon December 4th. She completed it in 4 hours 22 minutes and was very pleased and exhausted. She is just now feeling back to NORMAL. Bill and I rode our bikes (everywhere) over 3,500 miles since January 2005. We were so appreciative to local governments for creating the bike path along Sunset Hwy to the Zoo. From our house to the Zoo (and the Peacocks {Marvin, Marvin, Marvin and Marvin}) it is 2 miles one way, then up into Washington Park we have a route which ends up being over 10 miles by the time we get home. We would ride this, one or two times a day and are anxious for the weather to change so we can resume riding it (Spinning Classes are just not the same).
We hope you have the time to enjoy these holidays in the manner most meaningful to you and yours. Our thoughts and prayers are with our troops, their families and all peoples living through challenging circumstances.
Happy Holidays!!
Bill, Debbie, Nicole and Matt
