Happy Holidays 2006
Dear Friends and Family,
We hope this holiday season finds you and your family in good health and with much happiness in your lives.
Needless to say 2006 ha been an interesting year... Matt graduated from Pacific University with a degree in Physics and had a great baseball season. His year was beyond every parent's dream for their child. He was so lucky to be surrounded by such caring, energetic, challenging individuals who always pushed him to higher levels in all areas. We were continually surprised and awed by him. We are sooo pleased with his choices.
In February N moved from San Francisco to Seattle. She was able to keep her San Francisco job at Nike and worked "virtually" from her apartment until June when she was lucky to get a job in marketing with Tommy Bahamas. She lived about 3 blocks from the Space needle in Bell Town and has spent the year learning and exploring the Seattle area. She is lucky to have such a caring and supportive group of friends and coworkers in Seattle who have come to her aid many times. Like in San Francisco she has particularly enjoyed the opportunity of attending professional sporting events. (What a surprise!)
For Matt's graduation and the closing of our "child rearing years" we chose to take a vacation where each one of the kids could take a friend. We tried to tailor it to their interest, tastes and hopes. WE REALLY lightened up on Museums and Art.. it was hard... but we did it. There were some complaints of "being tired and not enough sleep: but not as many as usual. For the six of us there seemed to be enough space, variety, and freedom, coupled with everyone's willingness to compromise, adjust and just enjoy the moment. We really appreciated that. Hopefully it was a good experience for all.
During this year Bill decided it was time for him to no longer work.... hence we have ventured into several new areas which have added new challenges. Exercise continues to be a real focus for all of us.
We sincerely hope you have the time to enjoy these holidays in the manner most meaningful to you and your family.
Happy Holidays!!
Bill, Deb, Nicole and Matt
