Happy Holidays!!
We hope this holiday season finds you and your family in good health
and with much happiness in your lives.
2016 has been an amazing year for us.
We were blessed with two new grandchildren.
Nick and Nicole welcomed Cameron on April 5, 2016 and
Matt and Katie welcomed Joseph on Sept. 13, 2016.
Everyone is doing well and just over the Moon.
Colton is THRILLED to be the older sibling and cousin,
(especially since he has been the youngest cousin of five for the past six years).
New roles for him.
Since last December Nicole was on bed rest until Cameron was born.
Cameron weighed 5 lbs 7 oz and was 17.7 inches long.
In September Colton started kindergarten at their NEW neighborhood school Enatai.
They walk to and from school everyday; we have all enjoyed getting to know their community.
Katie was diagnosed with placenta previa early, so concern about delivery was always there;
however at the last moment it was not an issue and
SHE HAD THE FASTEST AND SMOOTHEST FIRST CHILD DELIVERY EVER!!!
8:30 PM – 2:25 AM and Joseph was born.
Joseph was 7 lbs 6 oz and 21.4 inches long.
Both already have personality plus and promise to give us all adventures ahead.
Nash and Wrigley are adjusting to their new pecking order.
While in Portland we work on our home, go to medical appointments,
exercise, bike ride, play tennis (Deb), hike (if we can) and visit the zoo as much as possible.
We went to Maui in Oct/Nov to help with Colton and Cameron while Nick worked.
The timing at The Grand Wailea, Lahaina, Paia, Kaanapali was perfect because it was not crowded.
It was a very relaxing, fun time, and many times we felt like we were the only ones there.
Highlights for us were three concerts of Nate Reuss, Sting and Chicago
which we could fully see and hear from our balcony overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
Heaven.
Bill continues his Parkinson's journey.
He would give ANYTHING to feel “normal” for more than 3 hours.
His determined defiance (although difficult at times) has worked for him.
His Kaiser teams are still an incredible support,
and continue being creative and finding new resources for him to try.
We appreciate them sooooo much and how they know and understand Bill.
We wish you and your family Happy Holidays and a great 2017.
