HAPPY HOLIDAYS 2020
We hope this holiday season finds you and your family in good health
and with much happiness in your lives.
LIFE... slowed down for all of us this year.. Covid19.
Hopefully you and your family have been able to navigate it without too many obstacles.
In January 2020 we spent a week with our niece Traci and her wonderful family in Sarasota, Florida.
We had such a great visit. They are all thriving and we mean THRIVING.
So fun to be embedded in their family and extended family and all their daily activities.
Good timing for us... We were just starting to hear about Covid 19.
Our kids and their families all worked and went to school at home.
Working from home worked as long as distractions were kept to a minimum.
School proved to be much more challenging and still is.
Everyone is doing their best to be compliant and complete the curriculum.
Thank goodness Mathnasium and a tutor had been in place.
Colton and his buddies have explored most neighborhood areas on their bikes.
It reminded us how we survived by bike in the 1950s.
Cami and Joe have eased into the school culture slowly,
which has created an appreciation and excitement for school which they might not have had.
Bill's medical needs continue to dictate our life.
As his health is constantly changing, his medical team adjusts and generates new ideas.
Physical activity has always been such an important part of his life.
We have had to make many adjustments all the time.
We have LOVED bike riding and that has lessened over the past few years.
So this year he got a RAMBO Savage eBike. OMG.... Watch Out!!
The smile on his face is endless as he zooms past everyone (especially if we are going uphill).
It is best to get him on the Oregon Vernonia Trail (21 miles) or Seattle's Burke Gilman Trail (27 miles).
In Seattle Matt and Katie live at the North end and Nick and Nicole live at the SE end
of Lake Washington making an easy access to the trail no matter where we are.
This year we were introduced to the Milwaukie Trolley Trail that extends from Oaks Park to Oregon City (12 miles).
All trails are mainly straight, wide and endless with distracting scenery and wildlife.
Who could ask for more?
Throughout the 34 years we have lived in this house, we had put off many things that should have been done.
November 2019 we started a "To Do List".. Sue and Dan came from Bend and jump started us and "The List".
Covid 19 has given us THE TIME to continue. Slowly we are checking things off, one by one.
We have gone through our house once... After the holidays we will start Round 2.
Amazing how much you can overlook when you are busy LIVING....
We wish you and your family Happy Holidays and a much better and great 2021.
Stay Healthy.... Be Smart
